2008 Information
CORE CAST     FAMILY CAST     BAGPIPERS

Twenty actors, representing historical figures such as Parley P. Pratt and Joseph and Emma Smith, perform live each night for the duration of the pageant. This core cast also presents short vignettes during the day and performs for community events.

Families in the five ensemble casts represent Nauvoo citizens and new converts arriving in Nauvoo. Each cast contains about 120 members. Families also greet audience members and invite them to participate in pre-show events.

4 bagpipers are needed per cast to lead the parade that begins the pageant and perform short concerts during the day. When not performing, bagpipers will also participate in the pageant as work crew or family cast.

WORK CREW     VOLUNTEER SUPPORT

20 able-bodied single young men (ages 17-25) serve as site workers for the pageant. Work crew members will assist with some technical elements, including the stage, props, lighting, and pre-show.

Volunteers (ages 21 and older) assist with costuming, security/site maintenance, food services, and family support. Volunteer schedules vary according to support team.
